happy hues

i wore this outfit to our acquaintance party, themed POP. i thought it was retro or something, so i bought the eyelet dress with tie dye design on it. looks well coordinated with the theme, ayt? haha little did i know, it was POP as in POPULAR. haha sooo, i bought the sheer skirt to make my look more shall i say, updated? haha. plus it wasnt an excuse for me to wear my all time favorite lacy fuschia socks! :)

another  late upload just to update my LB page. haha. as much as i love posting my simple outfit looks, my schedule wont just allow me. *sobs
anyways, i will try to buy some time. haha.

Lace and Braid

so i went all girly and victorian when i attended our medical school commencement exercises. the dress was originally above the knee, and since it is a no-no for me, i made a new skirt for this piece. i did the shopping of fabrics - jersey, tule, silk. i guess the sewing skills of mine have not yet rotten. :)) I and my friend, Pratima, did a sort of window shopping weeks before we left for our second community immersion. Given, thoere were lots of pretty dresses in different hues unthinkable, but it showed too much skin. We laid eyes on tons of designs but we opted for comfort. Bottomline, we did not bought any. We left each and every boutique empty handed. haha We eventually bought different dresses. Mine was modified. Few hours before I left my comfort zone, I did the sewing job. Ever wonder why I should have a dress as soon as possible? It is because the graduation woulb be on April 20 and our schedule of arrival was 19. How hectic, eh? Imagine the haggardness and mismatched skintone? I did not bother. hahaa. As long as Im comfortable with what I was wearing, I was good as celebrity. :PP

THE VOW

we were like bestfriends since grade three and i thought we're inseparable. we share almost every secrets and promise to keep it till we turn to dust. college came and we're overwhelmed by the turn of events. she and i went to different school at different places. but our friendship didnt stop there or so i thought. we watched each other grew up, from our first crushes to first boyfriends, from first dance to first heartbreak, and the list just goes on and on. i remember during our ramdom texting moments, either of us said it would be cool to get married by the age of 26. both of us didnt mean it, i think it was just for fun. but only recently i found out the true meaning of our silly conversation. and now, she's getting married. as she walked down the aisle, she was radiating with so much beauty, filled with joy and love. i am so happy for her that finally, she found the man who will take good care of her and will love her without second thought. i must say this man really love my bestfriend, the way he looks at her, the way he moves around her, it is as if he's revolving in his own world, and Nia is his. i was so shocked when the host asked me to give a short message. panicked shot through me and i was like oh my god. thoughte i might share a few lines "To Nia and Arif, married life is not easy, there will be misunderstandings and petty quarrel but i do believe as long as there's two hearts that beat as one, nothing can turn u apart. best wishes, to infinity and beyond," and my voice cracked and my friends thought i was crying. lol though i was on the verge of it. :) so, who will tie the knot next? watch out. :)))

summer lovin'

finally, summer is here, my all-time favorite season. amidst the scorching heat of the sun and humid weather, you can freshen your mood by wearing some colorful tops and shorts. but i opted for a jumpsuit. and it really suited me. haha. it made me look taller (how i wished!)and preppier with that boater hat on. dressing up is one of the aspects of my life that i wouldnt trade-in for anything. it is how i can express my personality without degrading other's. so, happy summer everyone :)
