self timer

have you ever been left all alone in the house and you get really bored?  it felt like crazy, right? well, there's this one morning when i woke up, i was all by myself. my siblings went for school and my aunt was nowhere to be found. to brighten up my  mood, i get up and help myself to breakfast and hit the shower. i put on a sweatshirt and a leggings, scrutinizing myself in front of my mirror and everything. i was so bored then. and then it just came out of the blue, i started posing like i was at a photo shoot. striking pose like this and that using the self timer's cam of my phone, yeah, it was self timer. (i looked crazy, i told you!) but, fortunately the shots were unexpected. Voila!

&& i wanna give credits to my friend, hanabanana for enhancing the snapshots. :)) i've became productive, haven't i? :)

nurse, emergency.

These past three days was my first emergency room exposure. wow. and it was pretty amazing. Waiting for our shift makes me super nervous because i expect there will be hundreds of patients since ours was the busiest shift of the day - afternoon shift. And not to mention the Clinical Instructor, many says he's strict, but to my surprise, he turned out to be major major cool and major major smart! That's a relief, yes!
As soon as the shift began, we went to our respective units. I and my partner was assigned at Pediatric Unit. RAWR. :) Well, kids are sometimes difficult to handle, but if you know how to approach them with a big, warm smile on your face, surely they will cooperate. But hey, we were wearing face mask. Though it's printed with cartoon characters, still they were restless upon seeing us. Eventually, with some charms and efforts, we manage to take the vital signs of those patients.
After four hours, we were rotated to Internal Medicine Unit.So far it was the busiest unit. Vital signs monitoring, oxygenetation, nebulization, ECG monitoring and many more. I also assisted on wound suturing of a lacerated submadibullar area of a fallen cheerleader. I observed insertion of catheter too.
And on the second and third day of duty, I was rotated to different unit except the OB GYNE Unit. yeah! :)) I must say I liked it at Triage Unit and Surgical Unit. The overall experience was a real learning experience. Though sometimes I am afraid go near the victim, my ego will set in and start taking the vital signs of a bloody/injured/unconscious patient. && major major thanks to Sir Delfin!

atypical day

atypical day

i am awaken by such noise pollution of my ever considerate neighbor. i wanted to yell at them but i am fasting. so i must endure it. i dragged my feet to my computer and found some comfort here.
recently i found the title of the song that i kept on humming. i really don't know the lyrics then. everytime i hear this song it really makes me happy. er. i have a lot of pick me upper songs but currently it's Belle of the Boulevard by Dashboard Confessionals. i hope you'll enjoy this video as i do. that little girl is just sooo adorable. Plus the beautiful voice of Cris, makes my heart melt. the video tells a story about the life of "belle of the boulevard" and the ending remains a mystery to me.
